According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Russian fighter jets fired at least twice at Israeli Air Force aircraft in Syria.

At the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Russian fighter jets fired at Israeli Air Force aircraft. Despite it, Putin said that he heard about that for the first time.

According to Israeli Channel 10, last week, the Russian fighter jet approached the Israeli aircraft at the Syrian Mediterranean coast for unknown reasons. There was no contact made between the aircrafts, and the Israeli fighter jet continued on its way.

The meeting of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russia's President Vladimir Putin took place in Moscow on Thursday. The Israeli cabinet minister said that the meeting was successful. He said that the main outcome of the negotiations was “the security coordination between the countries to avoid mishaps, misunderstandings and unnecessary confrontations”.

Netanyahu said that the Israeli Air Force Commander Gen. Amir Eshel and Israeli Military Secretary will hold a special meeting with the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu and several other generals.
