The Australian government has signed a deal to sell a farmland of nearly 30,000 square miles to Chinese investors. The area of land is equivalent to the size of Ireland or the state of South Carolina.

According to Dialog, the size of the transaction is more than three hundred million dollars. The deal is just waiting for the official approval of the authorities of both countries.

This area is a huge farmland, which was owned by a large cattle breeding company before the sale.

The size of the land put up to sale is 1% of the Australian territory. It covers almost 11 million hectares.
