Kim Kardashian has been criticized by Azerbaijani ambassador after weighing in on the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Caucasus enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Azerbaijani ambassador in the United States, Elin Suleymanov, covertly asked Kim Kardashian to fall silent and not to touch on the topic of the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The diplomat believes that Kardashian, who supports her ethnic compatriots in social networks, is not entitled to her own opinion, because she is not competent in the subject of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Suleymanov suggested that Kim should not express her opinion related to topics she is not familiar with, sardonically adding that she’d better do her job in the TV show.
Elin Suleymanov said: "She's very famous and beloved by her fans, but matters of war and peace are a little too serious for a reality-TV star."
"I personally would be a very bad reality-TV star, so I try not to cross into areas I’m not familiar with, I’m not sure Ms. Kardashian is a military or political analyst, so maybe we should all do what we do best."
