The stunning picture was taken by US astronaut Jeff Williams from the International Space Station. The photo depicts a flight of Soyuz-2.1a rocket with Progress spaceship during its inclusion at the third stage. The rocket itself has turned out to be similar to a big comet with three tails.
The picture is unique because it’s difficult enough to see such a launch from Earth with the naked eye. Moreover, it’s necessary to calculate the exact time of flight over the launcher to notice the moment.
The unmanned Progress MS-02 spacecraft has delivered more than 2.5 tons of useful things to the International Space Station: fuel, food and equipment.
