An extraordinary EU summit with the participation of Turkey is to be held in Brussels on March 7. Its participants are going to solve the European refugee crisis. Ankara hopes to get €3 billion of financial assistance to provide proper conditions of stay for refugees in Turkey.

Earlier, the president of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman has said that the EU should not give the promised €3 billion to solve refugee problems.

The European Union hopes that Turkey will be able to stop or significantly reduce the flow of migrants to Greece, and to perform a readmission agreement, which is planned to come into effect on June 1.

According to data compiled by the Eurostat, the number of refugees who asked for asylum in the EU countries exceeded 1.25 million people last year. This is twice as much as indicators of 2014.
