US President Barack Obama has decided to shut down the Guantanamo Bay facility for the reason that this place embodies a huge danger to the American people.

"This is about closing a chapter in our history. It reflects the lessons we've learned since 9/11," Obama noticed in his speech at the White House this morning.

The price for prison security is extremely high and the closure of the jail was also an early promise from President Barack Obama.

Besides this fact, the Pentagon proposed to transfer 91 of the remaining inmates to their 'home' jails or to other US military and civilian prisons.

However, resolute Congress is going to fight back such a move of President Obama.

According to the president, the transfer of 30 prisoners will cost at least between $290 to $475 million. Despite this fact, highlighting the necessity for accomplishment of this plan, he asserts that the fund aimed for it will recover within a few years.

"I am very clear-eyed about the hurdles to finally closing Guantanamo. The politics of this are tough," Obama declared. "If it were easy, it would have happened years ago."
